2024 Resolutions

Happy new year and hello everyone. I haven’t been on here in a while and let’s just say life happened (will be posting a recap of the last couple of months soon) , but I’m happy to enter the new year with motivation and dedication to what I want to accomplish this year and with that, I’m going to share my 2024 resolutions. 🙂

I tend to not do these because sometimes I don’t go through with them, but I’ve made it a goal this year to stick to my word when I say I’m going to do something, but know when to take a break and not put so much pressure on myself, which is hard to do, but not impossible, just have to find a balance and I will admit that I have struggled with that before so this year I want to better myself and do better this year.

Being More Resourceful

One major resolution I want to keep up with this year is to be more resourceful. I, like many others, have dealt with consumerism and FOMO (fear of missing out) and that can lead to overbuying and not using all the things you buy and end up throwing it away or donating it. I want to be more responsible and resourceful in my purchases and actually use up my products before I purchase anything else and being caught up in the trends and hype. It is hard because I do want to try new things, but this year I want to do better and be more conscious with my spending.

Being Consistent At The Gym and Staying Hydrated

As I’m writing this, we’re under a freeze warning, so it’s safe to say I didn’t go to the gym today, but once it calms down I definitely plan to be more consistent at the gym. At the size I am right now, I am closer to my goal than I was 4 years ago, which is great, but I want to lose a bit more and be more toned in certain areas. I know I also have to change my eating habits and that will definitely be a bit of a challenge (I love food), but I know it’ll make a big difference in my results. Along with this, I am going to keep track of my water intake. I sometimes forget to drink water and I want to make sure I stay hydrated on the daily and aside from the craze lately, my Stanley has helped me get my water intake for the day and I can take it anywhere with me so that’s convenient too.

Getting Back To My Hobbies

This year I want to keep up with my hobbies and actually enjoy them without feeling pressured (usually it’s me feeling the need to keep up with others) and having fun. It is hard when you have a separate instagram for said hobbies and seeing everyone do so well and you feel behind, but I need to get away from that mentality and go at my own pace. It’s not a race, after all and I miss reading for fun and journaling/memory keeping so I definitely want to do better in this area.

Stop Taking Social Media Seriously And Being More Present

Last year I felt like I had to post daily and consistently in order to get a bigger audience on whatever platform I was on and at the middle of the year, I decided to not do that as much anymore hence why I didn’t post as much or as often and just posted whenever I felt like posting. I was so focused before on getting content out that I got burnt out and it took the fun out of it and I wasn’t as present in my personal life and I was starting to notice that. Yes, I want to capture the memories, but I want to have a balance between the two this year. If you have any tips or suggestions, I’d love to hear them in the comments. 🙂


So these are my 2024 resolutions and I can’t wait to see how things will go once I check back on this in the middle of the year, haha. I feel like this year is going to be a good one.
