Happy Thursday, everyone. Today I’ll be talking about how I stay motivated and how my gym journey has been going so far.
So I started my gym journey officially last year, but when I got covid literally entering the new year, it really changed my routine for a good while and I didn’t go for two months after and it did take me a while to get into it fully, but once I did I would go six days a week and have an off day.
I still currently do that, but I don’t give myself a hard time if I happen to skip a day and if I do, I try to watch what I eat and be sure to drink lots of water through the day. In the process, I’ve almost completely cut down my soda intake to once or twice a week. Which was tough, at first, but the more I drank more water the less I would reach for soda. I will indulge, but won’t go overboard either.
What really motivated me was how I felt after leaving the gym. I would feel good and better about myself and what heightened my motivation would be my results from it. It’s been a slow process, but I’m definitely seeing changes slowly, but surely.
I’ve been waking up every day at 6 am to get my workout in bright and early and I’ve learned that I prefer it. It wakes me up and it helps me get my workout in because I either have school or work and going later in the day isn’t ideal right now given how my schedule is currently.

It’s a slow and sometimes frustrating process, but these pictures definitely motivate me to continue and not only for the results, but to be a better and healthier version of me that I know I can reach.
So I wanted to share my thoughts and my motivation on my gym journey currently as I don’t really get so personal or vulnerable on my blog so I hope you enjoyed this and if you have any tips or recommendations of any kind, I’d love to hear about it in the comments. 🙂
